The lake is marine, 30 m deep, and characterized by both oxic and anoxic water layers separated by a distinct chemo-and thermocline. Above 15 m, the lake is well lighted, oxic, and with normal marine salinity and temperatures. Below that, the lake is dark and anoxic with high sulfide content in the water and sediment. The locals tell visitors before they jump in the water: "when you see 1000 jellyfish, keep going, when you see 10,000 jellyfish, keep going, when you see 100,000 jellyfish, keep going, when you see 1,000,000 jellyfish, stop, you're there." This is a unique snorkeling experience! Eil Malk Island Jellyfish Lake is also known as Ongeim'l Tketau.

this divesite gets it´s fame out of the experience to drop through one of the little holes into a huge cavern. inside it hope to have bright sumlight from above to maximise the experience. there you have the entrance to thetemple of doom. just enter with an experienced guide to avoid that you don´t find out anymore. USS Perry is a 155m long Clemson-class destroyer. It sunk on a mine September 13th, 1944. The wreck was found May 1st, 2000. Between Angaur and Ngalkol. Approx 2.5 hrs by speedboat from Koror. USS Perry is also known as DMS-17, DD-340.

in the (early) morning we had 3 eagle rays, leopard shark, turtles, etc. easy to dive but often it depends on what you see to rate it a good spot. normally by livaboard

to start at peleliu this dive is a good introduction as it hasn´t got the currents of the cut and express. by day boat or liveaboard

An excellent easy dive, guided for the inexperianced. Stalactites and stalagmites to the water's edge, above and below. 4 inner rooms with the first very large. A massive air pocket allows educational information to be shared. A 35 foot deep entry hole opens to the first and largest chamber.

we had a eagle ray and half a dozen bumpheads directly in front of us. we hooked on and watched it for more than 5 mins. furthermore we saw sharks etc. by boat on day trips

Giant Manta Rays come in for cleaner fish to remove parasites. About an hour by boat from Fish N Fins but very worth it. Well north of West Passage. Devil Fish City is also known as DevilFish City.

470 Foot length, 58 foot beam Shiretoko Class Combined Fleet Oilier. The Iro was attacked by aircraft from the Carrier Bunker Hill as part of Task Force 58, Operation Desecrate One, on March 30 and finished off the following day by aircraft from the Carrier Yorktown. She had been previously hit by a torpedo from the US Submarine Tunny on March 22, 1944 West of Palau Western Lagoon North of the Rock Islands Iro Maru is also known as Iro.

321 Foot length, 45 Foot beam Army Cargo Ship. Often ranked as one of the best wreck dives in Palau. She was attacked by aircraft from the Carriers Bunker Hill and Belleau Wood as part of Task Force 58, Operation Desecrate One, on March 30 and sunk. Her final resting place is a little over 5 miles north of the Malakal Harbor entrance west of Babeldaob.

The Chuyo Maru was attacked by aircraft from the Carrier Lexington as part of Task Force 58, Operation Desecrate One, on March 30 and again the following day by aircraft from the Carriers Yorktown and Lexington but was not reported to sink until April 1. Northern side of Malakal Harbor. Chuyo Maru is also known as Chyuo Maru.

The Helmet or Depth Charge Wreck or Helmet lays right side up in 55-100 feet of water, with her stern shallow and her bow deep(about 100 Feet). There are aircraft engines, and many depth charges South side of Malakal Harbor near Japanese Cut and marked with a Buoy. Helmet is also known as Depth Charge Wreck.

387 Foot length, 52 Foot beam She was attacked by aircraft from the Carriers Hornet and Montarey as part of Task Force 58, Operation Desecrate One, on March 30 and sunk. Her final resting place is the middle of Malakal Harbor, just west of Malakal Island

One of the best snorkeling spots on earth. You will wonder "why go SCUBA..." until you do! The Resort here PPR is an aging resort with bad management and bad plumbing and high prices. It waqs nice many years ago. Beach at PPR on Arakababesang Island is also known as PPR- Palau Pacific Resort.

From the entrance to Malakal Harbor just around the North pincher a few yards. Often a mooring line on her

outstanding spot for experienced divers only!!! lots of current can be expected here as well as lots of sharks. usually grey reef sharks but if you´re lucky you can encounter bull sharks, tiger sharks and even whale sharks or whales. everything is possible here, so have a look into the blue! boat only. sometimes with a day boat, but normally just on request as it is one of the farest spots to get on a day trip. best is a livaboard to explore all the spots around peleliu.
