Shore dive with visibility varying between low and medium. The current is generally negligible.
Diving the rocky reef is the choice during the day. The reef is best reached by boat, unless you like a long surface swim. Here there's plenty of kelp, as well as various fish , molluscs, and crustians hidden away. Since Öresund is brackish water, you will also pass through the murky thermacline on this dive.
During the night, the flat sandy bits are the place to go. You'll see plenty of buttom-dwelling fish, as well as free swimming cod and eel. A very good place for underwater photography :-)
Ven Island. Just walk straight in from the stony beach.

Generally recognized as the best dive site within a couple of hours drive/sailing of Copenhagen.
It is basically a long granite mountain jutting straight into several kilometers into the sea. It is oriented east-west, so unless the wind is very unfavorable, it is nearly always possible to find a sheltered place to dive.
Its a rocky outcropping "Kullen" going into the sea between Helsingborg and Ängelholm. Its a national park, and the closest setlement is Mölle.

My favorite dive site in Scandinavia!
Extremely easy access, good visibility, reasonably sheltered and TEAMING with life. Lots of different fishes, including some big ones (by Scandinavian standards), lots of different crabs, and superbeautiful beds of seaweed.
You simply swim out along the wall til you reach your chosen air pressure, after which you either double back or go straight to the surface. The seaweed beds are a perfect place for a prolonged safety stop ;-)
Just go out on the pier, kit up and jump in. Its about a 30 m surface swim to the start of the dive.

Little German coaster at 498 grt, built 1951, which sank in 1981. The ship lies on the side about 1 meter below the surface. Wreck measuring 48.52 meters in length, 7.88 meters in width and had a draft of 3.9 meters. It is possible to stand on the wreckage with their heads above water. Two large open cargo spaces. You can enter the wreck several places, just after holds plans, fully intending almost intends through window to the engine and into the galley. Nicely wreck 300 meters from the coast. Beautiful wreck that sunshine is rich in color. The low depth also that you can climb around long. suitable for bottle and snorkel divers.

This small cluster of rocks in open ocean offers multiple dive sites. South/south-west side starting with boulders changing to sand bottom between 16 and 22 meters. Good fishlife here. On the line between the southern most rocks there is a steep wall with corals and anemones. North and east the bottom slopes gentle, covered with boulders and rocks. Less plants and softcorals here, but good fish-life.
This dive site is easy to navigate, often with good visibility but prone to surface currents and waves.
Kostersten is a cluster of 4-5 rocks with a small "lagoon" in between. The largest rocks is facing west.

Big boulders, overhangs (almost caverns) down to 24 metres. The sandy slope. Shallower and more interesting if you swim from the middle of the bay and north (around the skerries). Swim south for deeper water, walls and larger fish on the sand bottom.
#27 - Ullvillarna

One of the best sites in the area, but also difficult access due to sea conditions. Flat ocean makes a great divesite. Good kelp = lots of fish. Crevices with lobster. Sandbottom with both anemones and other bottom dwellers, like rays.
An reef starting at 5 meters. Falling bottom lesser to the east, but quicker deeper to the south.
#28 - Bleksund

It drops off quickly, but not as an vertical wall. There are boulders, shelves and canyons, pending where you are diving. Lots of seanemones, huge white sea urchins and some reef fish like species of Labridae (Ballan wrasse and Cuckoo Wrasse). Small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula) has been observed at this site twice on night dives.

Beneath the surface, you have 2 plateaus, one at 3-4m with rock bottom that you can sit on without suspended Especially a lot and a 9-10m with seaweed / clay bottom which are suspended a lot if you sit down.
From the entry point you can choose to swim left or right. To the left there is a wreck of an old customs cruiser named "Queen of Spades" which "accidentally" fall under tow. To find the wreck, so go down to the second plateau, at the exercise bike, giraffe and the road sign and follow the edge of the south (on your left side) for about 10min and you swim straight for it.
ön is also known as Limhamn.
