#1 - Gone Diving Vanuatu
The dive resort is run and owned by the Norwegian couple and PADI instructors Anne & Petter. We do day and night fundives and a range of PADI courses, everything on our own house reef on the beach. This means you can dive whenever you like when you stay with us.
Our equipment is quite new and is well maintained. The dive center has a compressor.
The reef is part of a Marine Protected Area, and is home to a great variety of reef fishes. We regularly meet turtles, muray eels, dugongs, different rays, octopus, cuttlefish, different stonefish. We do only small groups, as we believe this strategy keeps the magic of encounters at our reef and make sure the ocean inhabitants stay curious towards us divers.
The dive site is great for all divers, as the main dive area has a depth on 17,5 m. From here it is possible to continue out to a wall dive at the drop off, where you easily reach 30 -40 m.
Anne´s Reef has cracks and pinnacles, and parts with sandy bottom. There are 3 sandy plateau´s, at 6-8 m, 10-12 m and 15-17m, which makes it a perfect place for all dive courses. Our night dives are spectacular because of all the cracks and hiding places for the fish and the predators hanging around.
The Reef is quite sheltered, so we rarely have any current.
#2 - Tranquility Island Resort
Tranquillity Island is a 5* PADI Resort that offers PADI courses for every level of diver. Courses are often taught one on one and with perfect diving conditions and experienced instructors, there is no better place to learn to dive. Moso Island is blessed with an abundance of marine life. We have privileged access to the best reef diving spots off Efate, and arguably Vanuatu. With over 20 different sites, we offer a range of activities for all requirements, whether you’re an experienced diver or yet to blow your first bubbles. Shore dives from right in front of the resort offer spectacular coral gardens teeming with fish of all colours and sizes. A short drive on our dive boat ‘Manatee’ will take you to stunning underwater landscapes, large bommies, thermal vents, swim-throughs, caves, drift dives and two wreck dives. We also dive at Hat Island. Our dive sites have an exceptional range of pristine soft and hard corals, reef fish and pelagics. Divers and snorkelers regularly spot turtles, eagle and cowtail rays and a range of marine mammals like dolphins and dugongs are sometimes seen. Visibility is rarely below 20 metres and often exceeds 40. Water temperature ranges from 24 degrees in our ‘winter’ to over 30 degrees during the summer wet season. Night dives and early morning dives are available for overnight guests on request. Almost all of our sites, with the exception of the wreck dives and a few deeper and more exposed sites; are ideal for Free Divers and snorkelers. Our dive boat is equipped with a walk in platform, exit ladder, toilet, small galley and spacious sun deck.
