About Us

Darrell Bird came over the Coromandel Range back in 2004 and discovered this stunning coastal town of Whitianga with its many outstanding dive sites and opened his store in October of that year.

Darrell's vision and constant drive is always ensuring that he provides quality brands of equipment and operates a safe and fun based adventure tourism business. We are fortunate to have passionate crew of Dive Instructors at Dive Zone Whitianga who teach from Discover Scuba through to Instructor ratings.

We have a full service workshop where you can get your tanks serviced and tested, servicing of BCD's and Regs etc. Our retail store is full of quality products and we are able to put together great package deals.

Our dive boats take you to many and varied dive sites including Mercury Islands, Aldermen Islands, Cathedral Cove and the Te Whanganui A Hei Marine Reserve.
