About Us
Kalypso Dive Center offers amazing dive spots around the unique Marine Park of Kalypso.
Kalypso Dive Center was established in 1998 and has since built up an exceptional team of multilingual instructors and dive masters. The waters around Kalypso area attract a wide variety of marine life. With more than 30 meters visibility underwater, the biodiversity of this closed ecosystem inside and around the rugged coastal area of Karavos beach is something really unique in the Mediterranean Sea!
The whole area is protected from the weather conditions and characterized by the influx of food brought by the strong currents of the Libyan Sea. As a result, the unique local fish species remain and reproduce in the Kalypso area while large pelagic fishes visit the waters to hunt. The rare flora is attract large turtles and loggerheads at times, while in the bay you can sometimes spot Mediterranean seals.
Please be aware that Kalypso Dive Center doesn't offer diving on Saturdays
