Turtle Bay Dive Center
About Turtle Bay Dive Center
The 1970 founded Turtle Bay Dive Center was taken over in May 2020 by the German couple Harry and Tina Scholz. It’s located on the hotel grounds of Turtle Bay Beach Club in Watamu, Kenya, with direct access to the natural sandy beach.
The adjacent Underwater National Park (Watamu Marine National Park & Reserve) is one of the oldest in Africa. Fishing is prohibited in the national park. Encounters with turtles, whale sharks, dolphins and manta rays are not uncommon here. There are over 150 species of colorful and healthy hard and soft corals and a wide variety of fish species.
Watamu is also an important breeding area for turtles - mainly green turtles and hawksbill turtles.
At least twice a day we take our boats to one of the 15 different dive sites on our large reef. All places can be reached within 10 – 25 minutes.
