Stage Fort Park

This is a great area for kids and picnicking. Porta-Potties are close by. This is the parking for the park, up above the dive site. You can drop off your equipment below, and then return here. Click the picture for a bit of history.

Great site for beginners. Easily accessible w/ food and parking options. A more shallow and basic dive, but some nice adventures lurk further off shore. The parking is flat fee, so carpooling may help.

Do not be fooled by high numbers or great reviews. Yes, the parking, food, rest rooms, other things to do are all great. The diving is rarely deeper than 20', the sea life is minimal, the bottom is sand and more sand. Unless you need to get certified, or must 'dive or die' (and there's a hurricane blowing), go diving somewhere else. You'll be glad you did.

This site is very convenient - easy parking and facilities are available nearby. It is a frequent site for checkout dives and can get crowded on weekends. The bottom is sandy and, as a result, visibility turns bad when lots of people are there.

Great site for beginners and for bringing the family. The advanced and intermediate can have fun too, it just depends on how far you want to kick. Of the 2 sites, the south facing side offers the shortest gear-lug. One needs to kick out 75 yds or so to get to some good rock structure (you can see the larger rocks when the tide is not at peak-high). Lots to see and do out there, and due east of those rocks. Some 20+ foot boulders off the southern area of the visible rocks from shore. Lots of keepers out far enough. Lots of gear lost from newbies. Nice little snack bar across the street. 10$ to park all day, and bathrooms on-site.

Great spot to take non-diving family members because of the Snake Bar near the parking area (costs $10.00 to park) and play grounds plus other events on weekends.
