Park at the end of Ramsgate avenue, NE of Bondi.

North Bondi

This is a classic dive from shore. During summer season, diving is prohibited in Clovelly Pool during between 10am to 4pm. Clovelly Pool is a useful fall-back exit / entry point when seas are rough.
Can be dangerous entry point as you will have to jump into usually large surge. Timing essential. Can not be dived in large seas. Not for the faint hearted. However, excellent dive site. Probably best in Eastern Suburbs.

N side of Clovelly Bay (Sydney's Eastern Suburbs), 8 Km from the city. Park at the bottom end of Ocean Street.

Shark point

Enter water at end of path, swim out a few meters and find chain, follow the chain to the wall.

Off Dover Heights

SS Annie M Miller

Easy shore dive in the Eastern Suburbs. Has nice bolders, some swim throughs, and fauna depending on the season.
Can be dirty due to storm-water drain.
Best dived in calm weather and not after rain or storms.

Easy access from the shore.

North Coogee

The Koputai was a paddle ship used by maritime authorities that foundered in the early 20th century. It's depth limits access to those who are experienced technical divers. Features of the wreck are the upright paddles, engine room, and artifacts that remain intactsuch as binnicle, helm, engine, boiler, engineroom telegraph, and pipework.

Conditions can vary from excellent (40m viz, zero current) to zero visibility or current too strong to dive in. It is normal to be unable to dive the site when planned 50% of the time.

This is a deep wreck dive for those who use trimix and are familiar with decompression diving. It is approx.5km east of Bondi Beach.

Right under the Manly ferry route, so can only be dived outside of ferry running hours.

TSS Currajong is also known as SS Currajong.

Camp Cove is a very accessible dive. During hight tide the visablity is great. During Change of tides the slit bottom causes the vis to drop.

The shark net has a colony of seahorses. There are also soft corals and sponges. Watch out for fishing hooks and rods.

Access from the beach. The most interesting wildlife is on the outside side of the shark net under the pier. Watch out for fishers from the pier, it's safest always to be under the pier. There is pay parking at the beach, and free parking nearby.

Clifton Gardens

You can successfully dive this site from Shore. Just follow the rocks out to the headland and look for the two rusting steel (rio) bars sticking up in the sandstone rock formation near the water line.  Site update: I just dived this site on the weekend and the two steel bars are no longer there.  So look for the huge flat headland where the fisho's go and enter the water from the flat rock just north of that.  This will be covered in seaweed, juts out into the ocean and at the northern end it curves back into the headland in a scollop.  You enter the site at this point heading east away from the shore. You can dive here and stay up on the rocky shelf above 8m till you reach the drop off. At the drop off, don't descend straight away...move off eastward, to find Grey Nurse sharks swimming along the bottom. They are normally associated with a small cave in the area. Once you see them swim out over the top of them (so as to not scare them away) before dropping down to 17m and watching them from the bottom, east of their location. This plan will have them penned in against the wall/cave. When ready, you can move off and head North to follow the reef system back in towards the beach area and exit on the sand. Enjoy!

South of Maroubra bay.

Magic Point

Lots of macro life living on the nets, although very few sea horses left(if any - possibly poached for the aquarium industry? Some schools of bream frequent this area. Watch out for children jumping off the wharf on summer weekends.

Free parking available in front of nets on The Esplanade. Enter the site from the sand between the wharf and the little cafe. Follow the nets around in an anticlockwise direction.
