Miss Opportunity Wreck

One of the St Thomas deep wrecks, but the closest to Charlotte Amalie, and consequently the most frequently dived. Contains the longest penetration, as one can penetrate stern to bow and exit through a hole in the bow. Vessel was illegally sunk full of garbage (was supposed to be sunk in deep water off the drop off, which earned the dispoal captain jail time). By boat only. Dive site is less than a mile off the south of St Thomas. Dive site is not marked, and difficult to locate without GPS coordinates. No mooring balls, and so it is necessary to "hook" the wreck.
