RIVERDIVING with really strong current! Great fun! At the small village "Viecht" you will see a sunken house and lots of fish. At the Traun falls you can see a wonderful underwater lansdscape. But visibility isn't always great.

You will easily find it if you drive from Gmunden at the Traun Lake direction Steyrermühl. Shortly after Steyrermühl you will reach Viecht - a small village. There you can enter the Traun river.

Confortable to enter divesite. Shallow area for beginners and unexpierienced divers, followed by drop offs for experienced divers an further for trimix divers.
The Diving Facility "Tauchschule Traunsee" is located next to the Entrance.

Locate the "Seehotel Traunsee" in Traunkirchen, park there, go downstairs to the lake. There you are.

Starting slightly right you find a platform at about 12m (was used swimming some time ago). More to the right there are two more platforms at 10m and 5m (used for diving courses). 
Moving left from the first platform at 12m there are some branches and trees between 15 am 30m.

On the eastern side of the lake at km 3.2 of the street. About 8 parking spaces on the lake side of the street. Access to the lake via some stairs.

Noehmer is also known as Attersee.

Interesting site with a lot of trees under water resulting from a land slide in 1957.
Starting at about 15m going down to about 35 to 40m.

From the entrance to the right you reach a steep wall dropping to more than 100m. 
For experienced divers only!


Shortly before the entrance to the tunnel "Sonnstein 1" there is a small parking lot on the left side.
A stair leads to the lake.

At the middle entrance is 4m on a stick with a pot and other stuff as a guide to the exit. The terrain is very flat at first, then a little steeper as before to about 25 m depth off again. By getting to the right away, you will find next to tree trunks and roots of all sorts of junk like shoes, bottles, old pots or buoys. And a few rocks.
