Laghetti Superiore

Lake on altitude above 2000m requires preparation in terms of safety: use adequate decompression tables and reset your dive computer to the height! Beware: there's no phone connection available and next habiation is a drive of about 30min away! The lake isn't that big, however, in the panorama of the alpes, far above the treeline, in absolute quietness, this is a remarkable spot! Entry is easily done from shore and underwater you can follow the mountain lines from the overwater architectue as well. Some fish will guide you; vis is quite nice, even while we'd have expected somewhat better. For surface time, bring some charcoal and sausages with you.. some camp fires were already installed. At the very end of the Valle Maggia (Fusio), pass the artifical lake "Sambuco" on left hand side and head on along the serpentines for about 30 minutes till you'll reach the lake. Be careful: lake is on altitude of 2000m (use adequate decompression time tables / computer settings). There is NO phone connection available (even no mobile phone network) and just few hikers. Consider there's about 30min driving time to organize help!
