Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at Strytan
Strytan the gigant submarine cone rise 50 meters from the seafloor in Eyjafjordur northen Iceland and the top of the cone is 15m under the surface. There are great geothermal activity and there is around 100 l/pr.sec of 75°c hot water that comes out of the cone. Strytan was discovered by the diver Erlendur Bogason in 1997.
This dive site is underwater protected area by Icelandic law. That is not forbidden to dive at Strytan but we recommend you ask local DC so you can get all the informations you need for the dive.
