Why Learn With Us? We have very experienced instructors. We have 1st class equipment. We don't expect you to scramble up and down cliffs and beaches and swim miles for a mediocre dive, we simply take you by boat to a sheltered site with lots to see, you also gain extra experience, most divers who come to us from elsewhere have never dived from a boat. We will take you as deep as your qualification so its not all new to you when you dive in the future, often with a wreck dive if weather and conditions allow. If you are doing a speciality course it will be carried out from the boat, if for example you are doing Deep Diver we will take you to 35 - 40 metres- Safely. Dive Odyssea is based close to Southend on Sea in Essex and has been an active Dive Centre Since 1996. We have very experienced and patient staff who guide students thorough the whole range of PADI courses we offer. We generally train two nights during the week and some weekends at local pools.  We offer flexible time tables. Basking Sharks arrive off the Cornish Coast between late April through to August. We can arrange boat trips for divers to see or snorkel with these incredible animals, but this is subject to pre-booking. Basking sharks can often be found in the same area as good dive sites (like the Manacles), and an increasing number of divers have seen these gentle giants at close quarters underwater.

Basking sharks are, of course, plankton feeders, and as such do not have teeth, which erases one obvious reason to avoid them! However, their sheer size (up to 10 m. in length, and up to 7 Tonnes in weight) should make anyone aware that they posses incredible physical power

We love what we do and take pride in making sure you have the best experience possible. From your first breath underwater we are with you all the way.  We are able to offer all training courses and we are also open for pleasure dives. We have our own onsite training lake full of attractions from shipwrecks to sports cars, pirates and film stars. We make sure every dive is fun with so much to see and a fantastic team of instructors who are there to make sure your day is enjoyable and safe.

Our friendly, expert staff are more than happy to help with all your diving requirements. Established over 25 years we truly are the only one-stop dive centre in Dorset, catering for new and experienced divers alike. Weymouth is renowned for its wealth of marine life and its numerous wrecks (some 120 within a 20 mile radius) attract divers from all parts of the UK. The diving suits all levels of divers, from those on their first sea dives, through to the technical divers diving to below 40 metres. Diving is possible all year round, due to the sheltered location of Portland Harbour. Diving outside the harbour limits is at its best from April through to September.

To join the club simply come down to the dive centre with your diving qualification and we will be happy to accept you. We are a PADI Club however you can still join as a BSAC/SAA diver. If you sign onto a course with Sunderland Scuba Centre then you are automatically enrolled in the club.

Learning to dive in private training pool facilities either with one to one training or with your trusted bubble friends and family.

We are an enthusiastic and friendly scuba diving centre. We run PADI training courses from beginner up to professional, for all ages, including courses for youngsters 8-12 years old with our PADI Seal Team programme. We have our own on-site heated pool and active dive club.

We offer a comprehensive range of PADI and Emergency First Response courses for all ages and abilities from eight to eighty and from beginner to PADI Professional!

Because we have our very own dive site here at Eight Acre Lake with full time instructors on site, we are able to offer a level of flexibility to meet your individual training needs which few, if any, are able to match. In addition, any courses completed solely at Eight Acre Lake are inclusive of 2 years membership at the lake, all admission to the site during the course, all pool time, air fills and use of all equipment, thus ensuring excellent value for money and no surprise extras.

We teach our courses in association with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) because it is the world's largest dive training body with over 40 years experience.

InDepth is a highly professional dive centre run by instructors who have won multiple awards, certificates of excellence and who are recognised by PADI as being highly professional. Our two lead instructors are among 16 instructors worldwide who have successfully completed PADI's Advanced Instructor Training program. We pride ourselves on producing high quality, safe, modern divers who continue to develop in the sport for many years beyond their initial open water course. 

We train at all levels, all the way up to technical diving and can also offer specialist training in multiple disciplines including sidemount, cave / mine, DPV, rebreather and virtually all of PADI's specialities. We also offer all of PADI's TecRec courses including Tec 40, Tec 45. Tec 50 and Tec sidemount.

We have a partnership centre in Dahab, Egypt, and we run run multiple trips over to Dahab every year. This gives our students the opportunity to complete their theory and confined water (pool) work here in the UK and then either complete their course in a drysuit in the UK or travel to Egypt and complete their Open Water dives in Dahab either with the same instructor(s) or one of our team in Egypt.

We are also an official PADI Approved Youth Training Centre whose instructors have all been enhanced DBS checked. We are a 'Dive Centre of Choice' partnered with the Dive Project Cornwall youth / conservation / education project.

We run multiple trips throughout the year, both locally around the coast of the British isles and around the world, regular destinations include Egypt, Malta & Gozo, Mexico, Iceland, Croatia we also organise trips of a lifetime to Truk Lagoon, Galapagos Isles, Bikini Atoll and various other destinations.
