nother "shallow" dive below a steep rock wall with some caves, thus his name. The sandy bottom on 45ft/14mt. is covered with some huge, house size rocks covered with marine life. You can dive under some of this huge rocks and may have unexpected encounters with big marine life.
A good place to see the big velvet starfish, groupers, breams, baracudas and much sponges, polyps and coral like sea life.
Acess by boat from Orosei harbour as the dive spot is on a steep wall with no access by walking.
#2 - Biancas Garden

A large patch of uninteresting sea weed turns in a very intersting dive site full of crevices and small holes from a ancient lava flow. The walls of this crevices are covered with innummerous gorgoinai sea fans, sponges and coral like structures. We are still exploring this surprising place.
Departure by boat from the harbour of Orosei as it's too far from shore to swim and there may be heavy boat traffic im summer time.
#3 - The Bow (of the KT12 Wreck)

HE KriegsTransporter KT12 - a german one-design 834 ton transport ship- was built in Livorno (Italy) by the OTO Shipyard, and commissioned to the German Kriegsmarine in May, 1943.
She was torpedoed on 10 June 1943 by the british submarine HMS Safari on its maiden voyage with a cargo of fuel and vehicles for North Africa.
The blast from the torpedo ripped away the bow sinking it immediatly about 300 meters away from the actual position of the wreck, while the bowless and burning ship sunk after 41 minutes.
The bow is rather small - approx 10 meters/yards long - and resting on its port side on a sandy bottom. It is a scenic dive and often you will encounter groupers, shade fish/sea bass, amberjacks and dentex bream.
The Bow from the KT12 wreck is about 300 meters/yards south of the wreck. As he is very small it's almost impossible to find without the exact coordinates of a GPS.
I suggest to use one of the local dive operator to get there.
The Bow (of the KT12 Wreck) is also known as La Prua.

A large ancient lava flow created a huge maze of canyons, walls, rocks and is surrounded by white sand bottom. The walls are covered by sea weed, gorgonia sea fans, sponges, false corals and tons of marine life.
A easy, long and colourful dive for divers who appreciate shallow, relaxed dives.
Easiest arrival is by boat from the Harbour of Orosei, but this dive site can be visited also from shore, but it's still a long way to swim from the beach of Osala or Cartoe.
Beware of heavy boat traffic from the several rental boats nearby, use absolutely a suface marker buoy or better a boat above!

There are so much things to see that you can do hundreds of dives and still discover new things.
Just to name a few: canon, MG stands, steering wheel, toilet bowl, anchor, machine room, engines, cargo bays, groupers, amberjacks, scorpion fish, and, and, and...
Access to the dive site is only by boat as she rests rougly one mile from the harbour of Orosei. As the site is quite hard to find and there are millions of things to see i recommend to go with one of the local dive shops. There may be a mooring line, but usually invisible 3m/10ft under water to avoid that other boats get entangled in it.
