Punta Nera di Osala

A large ancient lava flow created a huge maze of canyons, walls, rocks and is surrounded by white sand bottom. The walls are covered by sea weed, gorgonia sea fans, sponges, false corals and tons of marine life. A easy, long and colourful dive for divers who appreciate shallow, relaxed dives. Easiest arrival is by boat from the Harbour of Orosei, but this dive site can be visited also from shore, but it's still a long way to swim from the beach of Osala or Cartoe. Beware of heavy boat traffic from the several rental boats nearby, use absolutely a suface marker buoy or better a boat above!
