Went at the very end of October because we really wanted to dive and there was 4 feet of surf everywhere else on the island. The surf was 1-2 feet, but the entry was still easy, long relaxing swim and dropped down when we saw a group of 10 turtles....awesome. Many fish, some eels, nice rock....not as good as sharks cove, but my second favorite site on island. You can do it this late in the year, but you have to fight some current.

You have to pay to get in, and pay to get your tanks transported down to the water (you are not carrying them that far) and then pay to get them transported up. It isn't that much, but there are a lot of good diving places on the island. This is a good place to go if you are going with snorkelers. More to see if you swim way out, but much of the reef has been ruined by ignorant tourists.

It is really sad that the waves get too big in the winter time. This is bar none, the best spot on Oahu to snorkel, skin dive and scuba dive. Go straight out and head right a long an awesome wall with swim through caves, tons of fish and turtles. Can't wait to dive there next summer.

We went in the summer. After a horribly long walk from the car to the entry point, the visibility was horrible. Maybe it was just the day, but this was the worst dive we have done on the island.

A bit of a surface swim, but with a beautiful back drop. Easy entry, swim out till you see a drop off, or some turtles! Love the trench wall. Besides Sharks Cove, this is my favorite on Oahu.
