Indy's Dive Log

I have been diving this site for a few years now, and have found the vis to be hit and miss. When it's a hit, it is awesome! For those who like diving Catalina's Casino Park but find it hard to fit the dive in the budget, this is the place to go. I took some friends here for their first time and they compared the diving to that at Catalina. The group took some great pictures and two of the divers speared some fish and fed the entire group of 12 divers with a fresh fish BBQ. The best time to dive here is during the quarter lunar cycles at high tide. Low current and great vis. Dive safe and enjoy!

The dive was very good with very easy entry and exit points. Just be careful of the rocks, there are a few paths down to the water which were only 30 feet from my truck. I recommend diving at slack high tide as the current can be strong otherwise. My dive buddy and I saw a variety of star fish, shrimp, a few fish, but the nudibrachs made up for the lack of fish, and OMG the clam shells are huge. I guess the sea otters that hang around there eat quite well!
