Good dive and better night dive. Typical marine life can include nudibranchs, eels, turtles, lobsters, crabs, and plenty of fish. Less common but still seen can include sharks, frog fish, and others.
Parking can be tricky for this dive as the only public parking is ~10 spots and a 5-10 min walk from the north side. There is paid parking right before the public parking and I believe it's ~$3/20 min as of Mid July 2021.
Recommend checking tides ahead of time because as you approach the south side of black rock there is a little current to get past. I've only done this dive as a North to South drift dive but, have heard that the current can switch to south to north. As a result, I would double check what direction the water seems to be headed before doing the dive. You can finish this dive in 15 minutes with how much the current can take you so there isn't a ton of kicking needed. Max depth only gets to ~30 ft so, a relatively easy dive outside of the drift part.
