If you take the time to look there is a multitude of small life here . The crabs ... a bonus.

McKenzie Bight is a great dive site for all levels of divers . Today vis was 100 foot plus, and makes for a very special dive. You never know what you may run into here. I saw my first Pacific Octopus here in 1995. It was in the open on a rock, measured 16 feet across, body the size of a large garbage bag. To this day I have not seen one as big. No wonder I still love coming back here. For that matter, I think we may go back tomorrow.

A great site for all divers. When diving these sites use Bonaire rules. In other words leave nothing in your truck you want to keep, do not lock your doors and leave glove box open. People break into diver's vehicles as they enter the water and do not mind smashing your windows to get what they want. The broken glass around the parking area will remind you. The dive is great and when vis is good like today, you are talking a world class wall dive.

The southern dives on Bonaire are incredible. The double reef system lends itself to an array of dive profiles for any level. I highly recommend any of the Bonaire dives. Alice in Wonderland for some reason is one of my favorites. I can't stop going back to this place.

If it looks rough then bail. We had to abort after twenty minutes due to unusual surge and cross currents . I would like to do this dive under ideal conditions.

Don't let the steps intimidate you, this is a great dive site!
