Inside the reefs bar area, near shore, the depth is low and good for snorkeling. Outside the reefs bar, care is necessary about the rocks.

The scuba tours inside the reef are not great — shallow and cloudy, you could see almost as much snorkeling, and the dives are heavily managed by the guides. No scuba certification required.
