Omar Paez's Dive Log

Had a great time with the kids. Dove 40 Minutes before peak high tide. The bridge pillars had several fish and fauna to take micro photography pictures. I dove the west side and will post the pictures. I highly recommend the dive. Free parking and free entrance to park. I saw file fish, octopus, French and Gray Angle fish, sting ray, parrot fish, lobster, and a wide variety of fish. Make sure you time the high tide because at the end of the dive the current started to come in.

Dove Vista Park today at 11:30 am with the kids. Parking was for about 20 cars but there were about 10 left. A dollar an hr electronic machine prints receipt and takes credit cards, then leave on dashboard of car. The weather was nice on the beach side and water temp was about 85 degrees at surface and 83 degrees at 15 ft. We saw the reef line started at about 100 yards out, it was two hrs before peak high tide. Current was fine. Saw some nice large French or Gray Angle fish. I posted the pictures below. Nice dive and not crowded.

Dove about 200 yards south of the Pier. Saw Spotted Eel, two squid, several French Angle fish plus several other tropical fish including a school of Parrot and Barracuda fish. Enjoyed. Parked on the metered parking. The police and parking enforcement are at large so put those quarters in the meter. One dive was about 1:23 min on a 100cu tank but I suck on air a lot. My daughter only used an 80cu tank same amount of time. Nice place! Also saw brain coral, fan coral. Can't beat the free price and a dive shop around the corner if you don't have gear.
