Remarkable dive. Give it better marks than Babylon for ease of entry, viz and reef structure. RECOMMEND ENTRY ON INCOMING TIDE UNTIL FAMILIAR! Church looks more like a meeting hall, no signs. Leave church entry at 45 degree angle for 100-125 ft. then turn and go straight for the reef. This bypasses shallower water. Average reef until 40-45 ft then it becomes amazing. Keep going to outside drop-off where it becomes stupendous. Take compass marks when leaving beach and before going under.

Believe Capt. Rick's post about the conditions for doing this dive. If you see breakers out from the shore, this is from the shallow bottom and reef rising up from the bottom. Pretty difficult to drag your belly across on the way out/in. That area is about 75 to 100 yards to cross, so pay close attention. That being said, I agree that it is one of the best dives ever. First you come to lots of BIG coral head formations about 45 deep. Lots of fish too. Then comes the spur and groove, which lead you to the Awesome WALL which abruptly drops...to DEEP. The wall is filled with numerous swim throughs starting at 50 ft and drop...once again to DEEP. The wall is pretty much a straight drop with great undercuts. Fabulous formations! DO NOT undertake this dive lightly, considering distance from shore, possible currents, difficult entry/exit. Once you master the above it is a GREAT DIVE!!!

We dove a little known site in the Breakers area which was absolutely breathtaking and, perhaps, the most amazing dive I have ever done. The location is just west of the South Coast Bar and Grill. There is a small church on the south side of the road which is the ideal place to park and suit up. Prudent divers will study the break in the surf and plan an entry and exit strategy. Under no circumstances should this dive be attempted if there is anything but a gentle surf. It is very easy to follow the fingers out to the wall from the surface via snorkeling, however, I recommend dipping down to the bottom before hitting the wall on this dive because you will discover an amazing swim-through that pops you out on the Cayman Trench. Every hair on my body stood on end when I swam through this hole! This is another great dive to do an easy profile on due to the fingers extending out from the beach. Just follow them back in and voila! You have a great profile with a safety stop included.
