Parking is on a well-groomed, large lot. You can drop your gear off before you park. The beach is expansive. A bit down the road, you'll find a fork to the left with a small shack and gate. If someone is there, they'll ask for about 10 guilders. It's worth it! Have your assistants bring your fins to the water's edge, and you'll be ready to go! Either direction is fine for exploration. Don't feel bad for those you left on the beach-- they'll be perfectly happy relaxing in the sun or shade!

A really great spot for diving as well as snorkeling, swimming and spending a day at the beach with relaxed company and friendly service. This became our most famous beach and dive location in Curacao. As reported in previous posts, the dive shop with its new owner is great, super nice team, very personal, relaxed and with a charming atmosphere, unexpectedly helpful, safe and very well organized. Just what you're looking for if you want to enjoy some relaxed nice dives (at any level). Beautiful healthy reef with the usual critters and a lot more - we saw frog fish, mantis shrimp, sea horses, eagle rays and even a manta ray (next to the beach). Absolutely worth going there, don't miss it!

Feb 2015. One of the prettiest beaches we found in Curacao. Excellent facilities including a new dive shop on the beach 'B Diving and Watersports'. They are super nice. The first day they let us use their facilities to set up and rinse no charge even though we weren't renting from them. The next few days we rented tanks from them. They also gave some good advice for helping my wife with an equipment issue. Nice little bar for food, though if you wait until noon, service will be slow. Sandy shore entry. Short swim to reef over mostly sand. Beautiful reef. Very healthy. Typical critters for this area. As you enter the parking lot, the dive shop is all the way to the opposite end. There is an entrance right at the shop to the beach, so you should park down there. When you get off the primary road, you have to pay 5g to get into the beach, but it is well worth it. The road from the gate to the beach is very rough, but just go slow - no problem for our tiny rental car. We dove here 6 times and enjoyed every dive. No stress. Beautiful water and reef.

Dove here four times and enjoyed all dives. Both ends offer something to see, and the current and waves are very mild. Dive shop right on beach and they are very nice. Fun place to spend the afternoon/day and dive. Well worth the trip.

The best beaches on the island. The entry road is a little rough and a 10 guilder fee to get in but great place for beginners. Very easy to get in and out of the water and parking is close by. Not much current at all and good visibility down to 80 feet.

The entry fee was 10 guilders. It was a beautiful white sand beach and had a very helpful dive shop. The dive shop let you put your gear together there and gave you a very good dive profile. Saw a large hawksbill turtle and there was a seahorse on the buoy.

Went May 2011. Didn't pay, as the gate guy wanted 7 bucks for the car to pass by the gate. Said it was private property.

Went on a 1 tank dive in January. Very good vis to 85 plus ft. A lot of trumpet fish and coral formations similar to mushrooms. Great relaxing dive, very little current. Very private location when we were there. Great dive shop on site and showers. Also a great beach to relax after dive.

Visited Casa Abau in January, and did a one tank dive off the beach. Onsite dive shop very helpful and affordable, good gear to rent. Conditions on the day we were there were excellent, good visiblility, good varity of sea life and coral formations. My wife and I also enjoyed the beach, beach bar for refreshments and a message at the sea side hut afterward. Showers and restroom facilities also available. There is a charge for the shower but is included with the lounge chair rental.

11/24/2009 Went here twice over last week, as the beach was that nice to relax on. Slightly busier due to being closer to town than other north beaches, as well as tour bus stop. Good parking, ended up not having to pay entry fee/chair fee. Chairs are uncomfortable (hard plastic). No shade available if you get there late (after ~10), and you want shade. Decent food /drink options. Easier to buy cooler and stop off for beer/Ice snacks in the morning o the way out. Good snorkeling, wide expanses of things to look at. Diving was good (better farther north), cheap, easy to walk in (little coral to walk over).

Loved this site! Beautiful Beach, friendly, knowledgeable, very reasonably priced for food drink, and diving. Took the dingy ride to the mushroom forest for a dive 50% priced compared to the bigger outfits.

I thought this was by far the best dive site on the island, only one we went back to. Beautiful beach, gorgeous cliffs, great life. Beach has very uncomfortable beach chairs, sand is better! You do have to pay for showers which was annoying. Absolutely great dive - small wall, easy swim out.

Beautiful beach with great diving! Both sides of the bay are worth a visit. In between two dives you can get a bite to eat at the beach-café. There's also a new dive centre with very nice people, good equipment and a great house reef! Made 4 great dives here.

Our 2nd favorite site for shore diving Curacao (the first was Playa Kalki). Dive shop right on the beach where you can drive up to the hole in the fence at the dive shop and drop off your gear and park right close. Shop is run by the Marriott in Willemstedt and has a very nice staff. We rented our tanks there, cheaper again than Habitat, about $5.50 a tank. Beach charges $3 per chair, and there is a bar on the beach with good smoothies and food. French Fries were greasy though. Diving: Swam out to the drop-off, and headed 'right' at about 65 ft. Beautiful hard corals, small fish but plentiful. Watch out for current though. We had no current at first, but then noticed the soft corals swaying our direction and turned to find the current harder than we expected getting back to the beach entry area. Our son snorkeled there, too, and saw a stingray along the left shoreline. This beach is a beautiful place to spend the whole day. Uncrowded in early December and beautiful sand and the bluest water! We dove this site 2 days. A lady hit our rental car and ran off while we were out diving, and the dive shop personnel saw her and sent someone to her house to make her come back to fess up, which she did. She paid the damage directly to the rental car company. The dive shop has a very nice manager, and the shop has rinse tanks and tables you can use to suit up. And during surface intervals they let you put your gear in their storage room (an old railroad car).

Great facilities and beach, easy entry and easy dive with good fish life and quality reef. Enter on right side, dive to left and return with gentle current back to right. Shape of and drop off of reef makes for easy underwater navigation.

Beautiful beach, great for snorkeling or scuba. The reef is not as beautiful as Playa Kalki, but it was a great dive anyway. This beach is less crowded than most, and is really worth visiting. There's a dive gear rental on the beach, but don't count on them before 11:00AM.

I Love it!

This is a great spot. Novice divers will be very comfortable here. A nice restaurant and facilities for dunking and showering and bathrooms. Cost for beach and 4 lounges was $7, and then you can buy tokens for showering, .25 cents. Easy beach entry and a short backstroke out to the reef over a sandy bottom and then down to the very healthy reef. Reef drops off to 100' quickly. No current and a very nice beach with all the perks make this a go-back spot.

It's a good place to go on weekdays, since you will have a lot of umbrellas available. Easy entry and easy dive. The visibility was fine and my wife and I took beautiful pictures underwater. It's worth spending the rest of the day at the beach. Good facilities with a rinse tank by the restrooms.

We took a diving boat from the Marriott to this location. We only snorkeled while everyone else dove. It was so lovely that we rented a car and went back by ourselves. After paying the small fee, you have a nice beach to relax on and get some food/drink. We drove to many other snorkeling spots, too. We found it nice to have facilities like this spot has, because the hot sun makes you crave a break from it once in a while. Snorkeling was good and then resting under a palpa in between snorkels at this spot was ideal.

Entry is $9.00 a car load, and we didn't feel like paying that much, so didn't dive it. Other divers said good things about it.

Very nice dive site, but mainly on the beach. The reef is very much damaged by Hurricane Lenny and the amount of divers. You have to swim a long way to find some undamaged corals.

Sandy beach made entrance and exit very easy. Lots of people on the beach, including lots of snorkelers, but few of them were scuba divers, so we did not feel crowded underwater. Fish and invertebrates was typical of Curacao during early spring, including eels, angels, butterflies and hundreds of tube worms.

Entry fee required. Free showers, parking, bathroom, Food. Shade and a great beach. Do at least 2 dives here. A short swim to the dark blue water. A very good dive from a nice beach. Bring along or buy lunch and stay the day. 5 Min. swim to the reef.

Very nice dive and nice facilities, well worth the price of admission (about $6 US) 10 Nfl. We arrived at 9 AM and were some of the first people there. They probably 'open' about that time. Bring exact change if you're early. Garden eels directly out at about 110 feet. Lots of young fish, beautiful reef. Easy entry, and I felt no current. We were the only divers. The facilities include a bar (with snacks), shower and lots of beach with shady umbrellas.

A good novice dive site. One of my open water courses was here and it was great seeing a pair of seahorses on my first open water dive

Topside is great for non-divers. Lots of little critters in the shallows, blennies, spotted morays, cleaner shrimp. A nice, quiet, meditative dive.
