Yes - it is what it is. Nice, easy dive. Improvements are coming, and clean-up is scheduled for this spring.

Don't bother wasting your time. Very poor quality place. This place is a joke.

The place was overrun with hippies. It was like the 70's came here to die. Hillbillies run the place-- it was deliverance. This is not a dive spot, since the only diving you do is off cliffs. Zero visibility. Shoreline was easy to get to, and wasn't crowded. It was extremely murky, however, and I didn't see anything living in the lake unless you count my dive partner when he was within 3 feet so I could see him. They are scared of the rain there..... ::breathing noises::

It is what it is. It's an old quarry, dive site. A cabin cruiser, cars, trenches. Great aquatic life. Depth is averaging 25 ft and I'm there all the time. The guy who said 15 ft must have been in the fishing lake. Trenches run to 60 or so in spots. It's nothing fancy but excellent for the beginner diver. Have the place to yourself! It's one of the best places in Ohio, so it's nice for people who are close. Great rock formations and the trenches are very scary. 4 ft catfish! Night diving and winter diving is permitted. Don’t be harsh. It's Ohio fresh water diving. It is what it is.

YUK, I did my first certification dive here and returned on a later date just to see if it was as bad as I remembered... it WAS. It would be good diving practice for public service divers as the vis was close to zero. It seems to average in the 15 foot deep range except for a couple of grooves around 30 feet. If there is anything to "see" I couldn't really say! I also couldn't vouch for the depth listed in the previous post, although I would personally doubt it.

This is an Old Quarry. There is at least a sunken aircraft and a Bank Vault at the bottom. Depth in the middle has been rumored at 80-100 ft. Going below the thermocline requires a dry suit or really thick skin. Visibility is poor to nil with an average of 3-4 ft. If you really need to get wet you can do it here. This site is a budget family camp ground. Tell them at the gate that you are there to dive and you will get a discount on the admission. About the only use for this site is for local Certification classes (One on One). We found it useful to practice navigational skills. Take a bearing on the other shore(200-300 yds.), drop down 10 Ft. and swim through the soup to see how close you came to your target. The occasional Bass will appear out of the soup and swim up to your face and scare the Heck out of you! The water will clear if it has not rained in a good while. Otherwise, you will feel things before you see them. The site is generally safe but really scary if you are claustrophobic or have a vivid imagination. Worth one dive if you are in the neighborhood but not worth the trip otherwise.
