El chuncho ucusana

El Chuncho is a tiny bay on the island of Pucusana port. Because of its all year calm waters it is used for training by Peruvian dive schools. It's a great place for people that dive the first time in Peru and want to slowly adjust to the strong wave movements along the Peruvian coast. There is a thick kelp forest in the bay. When diving there one should start diving the kelp forest in the center of the bay and end by diving along the wall. El Chuncho is always good for a surprise. Many times you can find unusual species in this dive spot. Non-national divers must rent their diving equipment or organize their trip in Lima. There is no dive center in Pucusana. Access: Drive the Panamerican Highway south direction to Paracas till you reach the exit for Pucusana, continue till you get to the port. El chuncho ucusana is also known as El Chuncho, Pucusana.
