Eckartsberg

Amid the Lausitz, near Kamenz is the large-scale quarry site. Nestled between forest and pieces of rock dumps will open to the boiler water. About a steel staircase leads to the entrance.
The approximately 60 times large lake is 120m deep ca.28m, the water rises still. The average depth is about 12m, there is a road, big rock dumps and deeper mines under water, so no "empty, flat terrain.
Even a small copse and relics from the time such as a reduction Loren frame, pipes and much more is there to discover.
Due to the rich fish stocks, it is impossible for a dive, no fish to see. Pike, catfish, sturgeon, silver carp, perch, tench, lots of white fish and with some luck also crayfish and eels.
Even outside the water, there is much to discover. Through the annual Sculptors days there are many sculptures on the grounds.
Some artworks are also underwater to admire.
The base is from May-Oct. On busy weekends, with other dates by arrangement are also possible. Among the week's key in the nearby quarry "husband savings in Kamenz (5 km) where the bottling is possible.
