Blue Canyon

This is an outstanding dive site with often quite a strong current; few dive centers are operating this due to the remote location. Can recommend Eriyadu Island as best to get there. It's a place for experienced divers only due to immediate descent, sometimes very strong current and depth. Watch your Computer! Safe operation of the Surface Marker Buoy is a MUST and descend / safety stop can only be done by drifting in bluewater.. Highlights of this place are numberous Eagle Rays, Grey and White Tip Reef Sharks, big shools of snapper, an what else comes along the blue water ;-) For info: the location shown in the map is rough suggestion. Dive spot can be reached by boat only. approx. 25min. boat transfer from Eriyadu Island. Dive site requires immediate descent ("negative buoyancy" entry) due to sometimes quite strong current. Blue Canyon is also known as Kuda Thila, Finger Point.
