Wreck of San Andres, a steam iron structure, which sank in 1856 due to strong winds from the east. The real name of this ship was the "Miño", but among the divers this ship is best known as the San Andres because his remains had once among a huge lead ingots with these words engraved. Upon immersion you can see the relics of the boilers of a steam boat sunk just off the shore. If you go down to -20m to -25m you find some large boulders forming small caves you can dive through. Watch out four groupers, congers, electric rays, crabs, etc. Some harpooning going on, so if you're there on a bad day you may not see much life at all. Still a nice dive if you're in the area. A shallow section of the reefs around Tarifa. Dive is very shallow for a while before it deeps to a maximum of ten metres. Often used as a check dive. Variety of sea grass and various soft growth. By shore from the Mediterranean side of Tarifa. Either surface swim for a bit or start the dive immediately in very shallow water.

This side of Tarfia is dived less often due to wind and current. Similar growth but more dramatic rock formations. Eels, Octopus, Starfish and Rays live amongst the rocks. By shore. Enter via the Mediterriean sides beach then turn back and use the bridge under the road. Walk in the shallow water till you reach the deeper part near the stone structure.
