Two big walls belong to the house reef. South reef, easier, from 12 to 50 m deep. North wall, better, from 18 to 50m deep. mostly good vis. look for holy maria at 13m on south wall, or for nudis at the northern wall. forget the seahorse. no chance to see it.
Sveta Marina is on the East Coast Istria, around the Camping Sveta Marina, Labin, Rabac. Choose a shady Camp-site and visit the Dive Center. Ask Walter for Dive Info. Put on you stuff and for the beginning try the southern wall of the house reef. you need to either walk 250m across the camping and down some stairs or you choose the entrance at the Dive Center. But then you need to paddle a lot. nice house reef, unfriendly german staff.

Still not clear if this is the wreck of the "ISTRA" or "HANS SCHMIDT"
Many details indecates, that this seems to be the "HANS SCHMIDT"
The "HANS SCHMIDT" was build 1920 first named "ALBIREO" for the Van Nievelt, Goudriaan & Co shipping company in Rotterdam. She was 113,1m long, 15,3m wide with 4427 BRT.
On the 24th of January 1943 she hit a mine and sank to the ground off Pula. There is no more data, that can be found regarding this ship.
-GS, Big Blue Dive Academy-
Very interesting wreck with a lot of fish, often that much, that it´s hard to take photos. She is standing upright, the bow broke of with a little distance to the rest of the ship. Penetrating is possible. Outstanding photo motive!
Hans Schmidt Wreck is also known as Istra Wreck, ex ALBIREO.
