Catana Harrington's Dive Log

Lots of sea life here, very diverse. The reef itself was very bright. the way it is formed it is like hills so you can swim above it and look down into holes or along the edge and look at the creatures in the walls. All dives in this area are great.

healthy swim out over the sand bar to the reef. Visibility is good tho and you can spot some eel and flounder in the sand. Not a busy site, we were the only divers around.

Fantastic spot for a night dive, We went out to see the Ostracods (bio luminescence). Swim out at dusk, don't use any lights so your eyes can adjust. They are very faint and you cant see them if any light is on. So beautiful! We just swam around at 30ft, watching the glow.

Beautiful 2nd reef. Goes pretty deep, but we hung out around 60ft, lots to see there. The 2nd reef is much flatter and easier to swim over. Quite a few eels and Large spotted drums.

Took a boat dive thru Chico's Dive Shop. Lots of sea life, we saw turtles, eels, crab, and some angel sharks! Huge rocks with lots of crevices, gives a 'coral reef' vibe with lots of creatures living inside. The sea floor slopes down to much deeper, we stayed around 70ft.
