Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at Octopus Suburbs

Far more boulders and formations than Octo City and far more life. Really a much nicer dive than Octo city and almost guaranteed a big Octo or two. This dive site is actually the Saltery Bay Boat Launch. Just enter the water, and turn left (south to about 100' at average tide) to explore Octopus Ghetto. Octopus Ghetto is also known as Saltery Bay Boat Launch South.

Never heard of it referred to as the Octopus Ghetto. It's locally referred to as the Octopus Suburbs It's not really a beginner dive as it can be quite deep at 35m. Great dive though full of life and very often octos. Much more interesting than Octopus City. For access just take a bearing straight from the boat launch and surface swim for 100m or so. It's a big boulder field with lots of neat stuff to see. "Ghetto" indeed.
