Kuhbar Island

There is many small reefs on the south end of the island and for Kuwait the depth is good. Barracudas can me seen in schools and every once in a while a whale shark will be in the area. Palms Hotel runs a boat to the island about every weekend (Friday and Saturday) the island is 32 kilometers due east of Shuaiba and 37 kilometers south of Failaka Island. It has a cell phone tower on it and not much else. The Kuwaitis go there to be "non-Muslim" so boat traffic and parties can be a hazard since Kuwaitis are not much into diving and the dive flag has not much meaning. Kuhbar Island is also known as Tower Island.
