Airifjan Wreck

Airifjan Wreck is a mid size cement cargo ship. bags of cement can still be seen in the hold area which is open. there is no penetration possible but there is some things to see like winches and valves. There can be barracudas when the Kuwaitis are not shooting them. Bat fish do come around as well as other large fish. There is a small reef next to the wreck in about 4 meter (this maybe what sank it)at low tide down to 12 meters. The vis can be low when the tide is coming and going. For diving other places in the world this would not even rate, but for a place to dive in Kuwait, it is one of the best. Anyone diving Kuwait knows how much fun trying to find a place can be. Head south from city or Fahaheel along the coast until past the off shore oil filling stations about 10 minutes south south west (just a guess)of them is a channel marker tripod and 4 tie off mourings Fahaheel Sea Club is the normal shop that runs to this site.
