You can park here at the entrance, or park by the water if the ramp appears ok.
A very gentle entry and exit awaits you!
You can practically park at the water's edge.

I last dove this site in 2012 and have never forgotten it as it was just so beautiful. My log book compares it to an 'aquarium'. I was much saddened on this return visit to see the extent of bleaching and mortality at this site from 50' and up. It wasn't a 'bad dive' at all with still much to see and it's possible that because the viz was down to about 60' on this day, that my opinion was decreased, but it has definitely suffered over the last 5 years. I made the decision after this dive to do everything I can to reduce my carbon footprint and to bring awareness to others on the potential fate of our reefs. If we don't change up from a hydrocarbon based fuel source, we could lose them all world-wide. My local GOP senator's office can now recognize my phone number on their caller ID and answer, 'Hello Jim'. I will not relent on this. I hope others in the dive community will join this effort.

Our first dive at this site, we will do it again. Easy sand entry, after sand there is a bit of spur and groove to walk through (look for cuts in the rock to walk through). Nice relaxing dive, no big critters this dive but could see that next time they might show.

My first trip Bonaire. Amazing. Did shore dives at 23 different sites. This was definitely one of my favorite dives on the entire trip! I was surprised how much better it was than 'Sweet Dreams' which it is right down the road. I encountered an enormous school of mackerel, in which I found my self engulfed in on more than one occasion. Provided for some amazing video footage. So much diversity in this dive. There was almost no current so I took advantage and dove both north and south directions along the ledge.

I can only say how fortunate I feel to have been able to return to Bonaire for a second dive trip. My wife and I dove everything we could from Karpata to Red Slave within our limited timeframe. We never had a 'bad' dive, and Vista Blue came in at one our top three sites. This place was like diving in an aquarium! There is just a perfect blend of hard and soft corals and the fish life was diverse and plentiful! (The lion-fish population is a bit too plentiful! We saw some really large 'nest' of them at this site). We also saw a very large Grouper and one 'tortuga'. The site is well marked with a big, yellow rock and you can drive to within 20 meters of the beach. It has an easy entry with just a bit of loose coral rubble. The beach itself is very fine sand and really beautiful (one of the best we saw on Bonaire). We only saw one other vehicle visiting this site during the whole week. This was such a perfect dive that I remember thinking, 'If I had gills, I'd just call this place home.'

Good site, generally easy shore entry, but a long swim to the drop-off. Saw 2 hawksbill turtles and a free swimming spotted moray. Found a cool helmet conch shell.

Entry is not so easy due to the rocks and the waves, the drop off is not so near, but a distance that can be reached without a lot of effort. Lots of marine life. The exit needs some caution because the sand near the shore line (last 1 meter) makes visibility near zero. I did this point 2 times and I recommend it.

I love this dive. Easy entry, pristine reef. Not over dove. Gets deep fast, if you like. Like much of Bonaire, night diving has some intense currents so it would be a bad idea to do it the majority of the time unless you want a free trip to South America…
